In an attempt to bridge the gap between 'high/low art', I make objects that are not purely visual, but also functional.
Huisraad vir Plansieners ('Home appliances for plan makers'), with its painted images reminiscent of the Afro-colonial era, combines tourist art clichés with symbols from a liberated Africa.
